Blue-chip Real Estate Investing Book Project

without comments

I’m currently ghost writing a book about blue-chip real estate investing.  It’s a different approach from several others I’ve written for other clients, as it focuses on higher quality homes.  The return is better over time and appreciation potential is increased as well.

Book Ghost Writer

Ghost Writer

I’ve been busy since the first week of February in writing four books as ghost writer.  They are real estate investing and Internet marketing books.

It’s hard work to create 25,000+ words/week, but it keeps the doors open!  If you’re looking for fast quality writing of marketing or business books on any topic, email me.

First Time Home Buyers Book

without comments

Finally, I’m not a ghost!  While I’ve ghost written several books, I’m pleased to announce a book of my own for Turner Publishing Company that presents tips for first time home buyers.  The title is “70 Things First-time Home Buyers Need to Know.”  It’s detailed, taking the first time buyer from the decision to rent or buy, through the search for properties, then through the steps and documents in the transaction.

The book was released September 28th, and is available for sale at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble,  and Borders.com.

Copywriting for Biggest Losers Event

without comments

I just finished a project for the “New Year, New You Retreat With The Biggest Losers” in Las Vegas, to be held in January 2011. Their site isn’t up yet, and I’ll update this blog with a link when it is. Copywriting is selling with words and images, and this is an interesting project. Unlike other copywriting projects with long term Web exposure, this one has a finite amount of time in which to generate registrations for the event.

Getting people to register to attend is the focus of the material, and I believe that this is going to be a really big event, with past season Biggest Losers and the show’s producers there. It should max out at the 5000 attendees they’ve limited the event to as well. I wrote Web page text, video scripts and order page material for this project.

eBook Project – New Lease-To-Own Program for Homes

without comments

lease to ownI’ve just completed an eBook ghost writing project about a new concept in lease-to-own for the purchase of homes. The Realtor® eBook is about 52 pages, while there are ancillary reports for Sellers, Buyers and Investors, each averaging around 19 pages.

I used photos, screen shots and did the cover design for this eBook, targeted at real estate professionals to get them to sign up and participate in the program. Approximately 65,000 words.

New eBook for Small Business – Cloud Computing

without comments

I’ve just published a new eBook, more than 150 pages and over 100 links and resources to help small businesses manage and market in the cloud.  Most of the tools and resources are free, and the rest very low cost.  I get no affiliate earnings or commissions from these products and services.  Here’s the book description:

More than 100 links and resources to help the small business owner in moving as much of their business online (into the cloud) as desired. Most of the resources, tools and services here are absolutely free.

Arranged by business function, or “what you want to do,” there are products and services for management, customer relations, inventory, and marketing, including websites and blogs. Using free and very inexpensive online tools, build email, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), task management, accounting, inventory, document management, systems for your business. Take them mobile, and special iPad/iPhone apps are included.

The author has no product or service affiliations, nor does he receive any referral fees or commissions. This guide is meant to give the small business person the ability to operate efficiently in the cloud at little or no cost.

Cover Article for Washington Gas Magazine

Jim Kimmons Articles Washington Gas Magazine

“Energy of the City” is a magazine published by Washington Gas, a natural gas utility serving more than one million customers in the Northeast.  I appreciated the opportunity to write for their Spring Issue, released in June, 2010.

One article is a cover feature, “Top Reasons to Remodel,” and the other was “Change Your Focus When Looking for a New Home.”  I’ve taken the cover and the articles and placed them in this PDF, as this is a really nice magazine with some wonderful images as well.

Copyright Protection for My Clients

without comments

If I’m doing regular blog posts for a client, I set them up with a free account at MyFreeCopyright.com.  This service uses the RSS feed from the blog to digitally file a copy of each post with a unique time-stamped identity.  The blog owner will receive an email each time a post is protected.

While this doesn’t keep someone from stealing your content, it does create definite proof of first publication, and you can place their logo on your site to discourage copying of your content as well.

Please request this service if you want it, as there are many opinions about copyright and allowing others to use material from a blog.

Recently Completed Book – Money-Making Online Networking

without comments

This was a ghost writing project for a work-at-home online money making guru.  His concepts have resulted in hundreds of highly successful work-at-home entrepreneurs who built online social networking sites to sell products, services and advertising.

It’s nuts and bolts instruction in setting up a network, growing membership, and using the content produced by those members to grow the site and get good search engine exposure.  From there it’s just a matter of placing products and services related to the network’s key theme up for sale.
